Newbold Community Growing Together

About Us

Welcome to Newbold Community Growing Together. This Community Project was started in early 2023 when Rochdale Borough Council offered use of a plot of waste land to Newbold Community Church to develop in to a Community Garden for the benefit the Community of Newbold and the surrounding area. The land being leased from Rochdale Borough Housing. The seed was sown and the challenge was taken up. Our Facebook page will show the progress of the Newbold Community Growing Together Project as it happens!

Location of Garden

The Community Garden is located on Florence Street in Newbold. It can best be accessed from Church Road turning left onto Channing Street or on foot at the far end of Vavasour Walk.

Technical issue/bug: If you are amongst the small percentage of visitors who use the Brave Browser you will notice that the two video presentations on this page will autostart with the narration. It will be necessary for you to manually mute/stop the presentation. This does not occur with the more widely used Chrome Browser.
